Visit the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, a hidden gem with a blend of Western and Eastern architectural styles. Admire its elegant stone façade, stained glass windows, and peaceful courtyard.
Next, ascend Mount Nebo, a sacred site revered by Christians and Jews. Stand where Moses is believed to have glimpsed the Promised Land and soak in panoramic views of the Jordan Valley. Explore the ruins of a 4th-century monastery and the Moses Memorial Church, adorned with stunning Byzantine mosaics.
Continue to Bethany Beyond the Jordan, the believed baptism site of Jesus Christ. Immerse yourself in the serenity of this holy place along the Jordan River. Participate in a renewal ceremony (optional) and walk through the reconstructed paths used by pilgrims for centuries.
